🚧Caution: Mathematicians at Work!🚧 Mrs. Burus's class explored the distributive property in a hands-on way! Students built arrays with playdoh, then “broke apart” their arrays by cutting them into smaller sections. They wrote multiplication equations to match each part, which helped them see how larger facts can be split into easier facts. 🏰In a land far, far away...1st Graders competed in Fable Olympics🏰 ⭐️They balanced buckets on their heads like Peggy the Milkmaid 🪣🪣 ⭐️They tried to reach grapes like the Fox 🍇🍇 🦊 ⭐️The gathered eggs while avoiding being greedy like the farmer 🥚🥚🧑‍🌾 ⭐️They ran like rabbits escaping Mr. McGregor’s garden 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🐰 Mrs. Hedges' and Mrs. Wooldridge's classes absolutely loved bringing the stories to life through these playful activities. #FCScourage #bpeTigers #ReadersAreLeaders

Since our first Ambush Day, our students have earned over 6,000 gold coins by doing amazing things! 🤯 We recognized two students for outstanding accomplishments outside of school and they earned coins for their den! 💚Our morning has been a "Grand" Slam!💚 We welcomed 57 of our favorite grand visitors for breakfast. Everyone had a wonderful time. We love seeing all the smiling faces. What a way to start the day! 🌟To top it off, grands were able to shop with students at our Fall Book Fair. 🖤❤️💚💙Today was our first Ambush Day! 🖤❤️💚💙 We started the morning recognizing one student from each homeroom that has been a shining star for Kindness and then explores our dens throughout the day learning and growing along the way. ☀️We took lunch outside and sat with our dens and got to chat with so many new friends! 🤩Bridgeport parents even surprised the staff with Thai Smile for lunch!🤩 In the afternoon, we gathered again for some friendly competition. 🐍🦚🦁🐺 The coin collection was STRONG this week and ISIBINDI took the win! Our Fifth Grade Tigers have been hard at work in Ms. Northcutt's room demonstrating their knowledge about adjectives! Collaboration among students made for a fun lesson that could only be described as...amazing...stupendous...exceptional...BRILLIANT!! Hats off to our smartie-pants 5th graders!
